Sophia A. Bajwa

Sophia A. Bajwa was born in Brooklyn, New York but raised in Houston, Texas.  She attended the University of Houston and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in political science and minor in international business. During her undergraduate career, she held herself at the top of her class and was on the Dean’s List for a number of years. In addition to her academic excellence, she was also an active member of Phi Alpha Delta, a national Pre-Law Society.


After obtaining her Bachelors of Arts degree, Mrs. Bajwa attended South Texas College of Law - Houston. She continued to excel academically by being on the Dean’s List in law school as well, and she received multiple scholarships, including the prestigious Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Aside from academics, she was also an active member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society.

Mrs. Bajwa is also a trained mediator and received her certification from the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution.  Additionally, Mrs. Bajwa worked at the Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics and gained extensive experience handling cases for human trafficking victims, refugees and asylum seekers.  Mrs. Bajwa also worked as a legal intern for probate matters. Furthermore, she worked for the Harris County District Attorney’s office in the felony division.  After graduating from law school, she worked for a medical malpractice firm in Houston. 

Despite her broad exposure to various aspects of law, Mrs. Bajwa always had an interest in healthcare law as she was raised in a family with multiple healthcare providers. Prior to stepping into the field, she was able to understand the challenges faced by healthcare providers and the nature of the medical legal system. In her free time, Sophia likes to cook, travel and spend time with her family.
